Abstract


PT.PLN (Persero) North Bandung is forced to give excellent service to society. Human
resources is needed to support service programme and reach organization objective. One
factor that influences to improve performance is Leadership. Leader in organization is
important factor that determine the successful of organization.
The purpose of this research is want to know the influences of Situational leadership
style to employee performance. Result from this research as a consideration for PT.PLN.
(Persero) in order to improve performance in current and future situation.
This research use survey and descriptive method. Operational Variable consist from
Telling (X1), Selling (X2), Partisipasi (X3), Delegating (X4) and Performance (Y) variables.
Primary data through questionaire to 80 respondence with total sampling. Path analysis is used
as technic to Hypothesis testing both Simultaneous and Partial.
Result from data processing show that Situational leadership style have significant
influences to employee performance. Descriptive analysis describe that delegating style have
low rating, it’s mean style of delegating rare to use as Leadership style in PT.PLN. Almost
leader like to implement paticipating style.
Suggestion for organization based on survey are the leaders more emphasize to
implement Selling and Participating Leadership Style because both style have bigger influence
to employee performance.
