PENGARUH STRATEGI INOVASI TERHADAP KINERJA OPERASIONAL INDUSTRI KNALPOT DI KABUPATEN PURBALINGGA

Abstract


This study aims to examine the influence of the variables dimensions of innovation
strategy that is oriented leadership, process innovation, product innovation, internal innovation
sources, external sources of innovation, implementation of innovation and investment to
operational performance exhaust industry Purbalingga.
Samples taken as many as 80 companies in the exhaust Purbalingga. While the
methods used for sampling is convenience sampling (sampling based on convenience) and the

unit of analysis used are the leaders / business owners in Purbalingga Muffler. Hypothesis test
carried out by using either the single factor regression tests as well as with multiple regression.
Dimensional variables of innovation strategy that consists of leadership orientation,
type of process innovation, product innovation type, source of internal innovation, external
sources of innovation, implementation of innovation and investment rates have a significant
impact on operational performance exhaust industry in Purbalingga based on testing using the
sequential model. Tests showed that the single factor of leadership orientation significantly
influences the innovation process, product innovation, internal innovation sources, external
sources of innovation, implementation of innovation and collectively have a significant
influence on the level of investment, but when analyzed individually innovation processes and
internal sources of innovation as well as external sources of innovation have no significant
effect on the level of investment.
In order for companies to compete in a global environment, it takes the right strategy
for the company goals can be achieved. One way is to constantly innovate, development,
improvement and new discoveries to achieve competitive advantage. The strategy of product
innovation in the exhaust industry is more dominant role than the innovation process to
improve operational performance.
