PENGUATAN PENGELOLAAN BUAH-BUAHAN MELALUI PENINGKATAN NILAI EKONOMIS PRODUK LOKAL PADA KLASTER JAMBU BIJI GETAS MERAH DI KECAMATAN PAGERUYUNG KABUPATEN KENDAL
Kendal is one of the districts in Central Java province that it has an excellenthorticultural products, especially the production of fruits. Kendal has some kinds of fruits including guava, called “Jambu biji Getas Merah”. Local communities, especially community of farmer, called Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan) jambu biji getas merah that process guava into refined products. The purpose of this study is analyzing issues related the processing of guava in the village, called Desa Tambahrejo. The research used descriptive analysis and qualitative Participatory Rural Appraisal, PRA’s method. Data were obtained from in-depth interviews with key persons that associated with the research. The results showed that the analysis of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) are applied to the processing of jambu biji getas merah can improve quality assurance and food safety of products processed jambu biji getas merah keep growing and the products fulfill the requirements of the consumers. Problems associated with the processing of jambu biji getas merah can be minimized or resolved by the formation of institutions in the community that processed guava and cooperation between Gapoktan jambu biji getas merah and the government, local communities and external parties such as educational institutions, investors and others.
